Our favorite bad boy stomping ground has decided to clean up it’s act a little more. Looks like Facebook is getting more private with user information and I say, it’s just in time.
It all started with an advertising system that was meant to collect enough information about the every day facebook user, and in turn let site sponsors in on the buying habits of the site’s ocean of users. This functionality would be dubbed “Beacon” and it was not the first time that Facebook had been charged with privacy violations.
The news today is that Facebook has tightened up the privacy at the site letting users control, more strictly, what can and can’t be viewed on their individual pages. I for one am ecstatic about this news. As an avid facebook fan, more like addict who can’t let it go, I for one am happy that Marky Mark is attempting to fix up his act. Here’s to you Mr. Zuckerberg!
