This is one of Devon’s Quick Hitting, Straight to the gut of it, Video Game reviews. Today I am going to tell you why you may, or may not, want to enter ‘The Club’ .

The club is a fast paced shoot’em up type game. In this gritty game you can play as 1 out of 6 characters in a single player/tournament mode or a multiplayer mode. There are an additional 2 characters that may be unlocked as the game progresses. So you want the honest truth here? I would say that this game is truly for the first person shooter fanatic. If you are in need of a quick adrenaline rush and nothing more, then the club is for you. I cannot believe that this game has received some of the high marks that it has.

About 10 minutes into game play I was already turned off by the lack of story line in the tournament edition. The game left me wanting a lot more after the gritty CGI intro/cutscene, but the game itself dropped me off a cliff and left me wanting to know more. I’m sure if I had played this game further through I may have uncovered some deep plot here, but let’s be honest, if it ain’t hooking you off the bat, then it may not be worth the wait. I give this game a 6 out of 10. The visuals were entertaining and I can appreciate the need for speed but I can’t appreciate the storyline, or lack there of. That my friends is the long and short of it all.
